THE appeal to novelty or fake novelty has long been an issue in the technical community. There are many examples of that in the GNU/Linux community. Mozilla Firefox, for example, threw out a lot of functionality in the name of "performance" or so-called 'UX', in the process throwing under the bus many volunteer developers, who had helped enhance Firefox.

The above video is my personal view on the latest subject that Daniel tackles. The series won't contain my own views but his own, so this is my only chance to express my personal take.
