Jacques Michel and Willy (Guillaume) Minnoye: Stakeholders in EPO Lawlessness

Video download link

Summary: Former EPO Vice-Presidents who wish not to be held accountable for what they did in the Office (or be chased after leaving their duties, finishing/ending terms there) are adding fuel to the illegal agenda of an EPOnian regime

THE EPO's regime of Benoît Battistelli isn't gone. António Campinos still employs many of the same controversial people whom Battistelli 'imported' and some of them continue to meddle in the affairs of the Office, even if they're retired. They see nothing wrong with the lawlessness they ushered in, they don't value patent quality (or even legal certainly, which is why they support European software patents), and they made millions of euros from their contribution to the current mess. In the case of Michel [1, 2, 3], who co-authored this submission with Minnoye, he even built a private firm using his EPO connections. Who's going to hold him accountable or uphold the law? Nobody...

Judging GenieIf his private firm abuses privacy of EPO workers, given that the EU refuses to enforce privacy rules against the EPO, he has an interest in the current status quo. Lawlessness has served him well. In the case of Willy Minnoye, he openly boasted that he would disregard any legal ruling unfavourable to him, even if it came from the highest Dutch court. And yet, here they are talking about a 'New Normal' like a pair of despots...

The video above is a voice response (rebuttals are often easier to do in this fashion) to the submission of J Michel & W Minnoye, based on the translation published less than a week ago at Kluwer Patent Blog (in a proprietary Microsoft format).
