IN Part 1 we urged EPO staff to participate in the staff survey. The deadline is tomorrow. It's important that the public -- especially EPO stakeholders -- will know Benoît Battistelli's friend António Campinos is a disaster for the Office. The media won't cover the survey's outcome (maybe a blog or two will mention it). But it will reaffirm a longstanding claim. The EPO is floundering; it cheapens itself (patent quality; quality of recruits; non-compliance with the law) in an effort to fake 'success'...
"This is a systematic eradication of the Rule of Law."As shown in the above video, this week's postings in the EPO.org site [1, 2, 3] (warning: epo.org
link) are white-washing or hand-washing fluff with a hypocritical political flavour. It's an alarming slant. Campinos wants several more millions of euros, so he's appealing for political figures to endorse an extension of his term. This serial violator of the law now poses as friend of Ukraine and he seems to be deprecating the EPO in a number of ways -- all for the benefit of rich and powerful special interests, not science (not Europe's, either). This is a systematic eradication of the Rule of Law.
This coming weekend we'll be doing a lot more coverage about this subject. ⬆
