Summary: It's FOSS changed editorial control some time ago; two of the main authors are barely active anymore and it shows (loss of direction). It's not the first such 'fluke'. It keeps happening. Why promote (1) Microsoft and (2) proprietary stuff in a site called 'It's FOSS'? What message does that send to FOSS proponents?
It's FOSS: Is it still for FOSS? As shown weeks ago (E-mail and Webform) to the site's editors and founder, there was a push to promote Microsoft's proprietary chaffbot, in effect leading people away from FOSS and promoting anti-GPL territories. Hours ago there was this piece entitled
"How to Connect GitHub to VS Code [Step by Step]" (they should instead guide readers
away from these)
How would we feel about Greenpeace publishing an article,
"how to make the most out of coal?"
