weird tunes dotting the landscape
radio.garden, I've sung its praises since finding it in 2018 or so
a boatload of independent radio stations around the world. From the snow-covered ports of SW Alaska, to Africa, to the tucked away mountain stations in Bergen Norway - music of all types, all the time.
Some, of course, are regular FM stations. right now I am listening to Froggy 96, Farmington (because I'm a jerk! (jk, I just haven't started exploring yet)).
Megarock Radio in Fenton, MO., my hometown, is very nice. I also need to revisit SUIE college station (Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville). It's offline right now, but...

touch
Touch has such a weird power. I've been listening to Touch by Daft Punk these last few days and it's been bringing back some memories. ~bartender, may I request a song?

i lost a family member over the weekend, he passed young and he was the other disabled member of my family.
the night i learnt of his death, i decided to do a reading of my dice about it. I picked my dice and rolled them, my cat was curious what i was doing and so he came over to watch

september 2 rise festival
The gentle roar of the power generators, the dust floating around the trees, techno music beat filling the space, a few hippies, healers and yoginis dancing.
I placed my hammock directly in front of the stage, a bit further into the forest. The bass kick resonating in my body, nauseating. Surrounded by Christmas light, attached to the tree, powered by the generator,, I was hidden in plain sight, alone.
I had a hard time sleeping the few nights I stayed there. The dust, the discomfort, the feeling of being alone. Yet a part of me wanted to stay. I offered a few Thai Massage, and a yoga nidra journey.
A wireless mic, I could walk in the crowd, while Lee was playing gongs and bowls on stage, creating a supporting sound journey to the meditation. Inviting people to move from relaxation, to deep insight and out of body experiences, out in the open.

‘Femme’ (and ‘sapphic’)
But there have been other factors as well. For example, the lesbian community has tended to feel like it's at least a bit more willing to challenge nonconsensual hierarchies apart from homophobia - not only gender, but also e.g. class and (to a more limited extent) race/ethnicity as well. That said, as someone who's been non-monosexual for as long as i can remember - whether as ‘bi’ or ‘pan’ - i'm also keenly aware of the historic and ongoing biphobia from both lesbians and gay men.

Wimps
I've likely bloviated on the needless complexity of many UIs, especially GUIs. But it still astounds me how many devs are creating solutions looking for a problem.
It should come as no shock to people who have been reading my goofy rants that when I use a GUI in GNU/Linux, I use DWM by Suckless. It's so simple and lightweight. It does almost everything I need it to do. The only things it lacks is a volume daemon (not really in WM territory, anyway) and a built-in status. It has an area for it, which is a plus.
Anyway, recently I'd heard rumblings about this thing called Hyprland. I went and looked it up. It's yet another tiling window manager, but it's a fat one (relatively) that generally requires a lot of config tampering (granted vanilla DWM is pretty lame). But it has tons of add-ons/extensions, and even config files. Why do you need multiple config files for a window manager? You just have to divvy up the color palette from the animation config? Wait, you need animations?

Demonstrate uname Options
Personally, I never made a habit of using the uname command on Linux.
uname is a basic utility which is primarily used to print the kernel version. But, there are other options available.
I typically use the -a option which prints everything.
But, today, I sat down and tried every option to see what they all did. Note that uname with no supplied option implies -s.
