The Linux Foundation is Associating Linux With Scams and With Scam Sites Right Now (Like the Wife of Jim Zemlin Did)
Days ago: Pushing Nonsense Using the Brand "Linux"
Sites that are peddling scams to vulnerable, gullible, desperate people are now piggybacking the Linux Foundation for perceived legitimacy, as noted in this latest update that includes two press releases [1, 2] and simultaneous exploitation by pyramid scheme sites. All the ones we found are pushing scams:
-
Hedera contributes entire codebase to Linux Foundation
-
Hedera joins Linux Foundation, donates source code to new project
-
Hedera and Linux Foundation Partner to Share Code
All the above are "crypto" sites. Sure, "crypto" is a misnomer.
To be clear, this would not be the first time Zemlin peddles these scams. His wife did it a few years ago and ran away when the lawsuits for securities fraud came (even class action [1, 2, 3]).
Ordinary people would be wrong to assume this foundation stands for science, transparency, and integrity. It's "bros" in suits. They poo on altruistic coders and volunteers; they profit from the sellouts. █
