The interesting one says: "Friday 9th January is my last day at IBM after more than 11 years."

For a last day to be in January the announcement of "RA" would likely be in December. This means IBM isn't quite done laying off people this year, with only 3 weeks till Christmas. IBM's CEO does not celebrate Christmas. █
