Context: Dinobabies latest: IBM settles with widow of exec who killed himself after layoff

The emergence of those court filings in February prompted IBM's chief human resources Officer Nickle LaMoreaux to deny that IBM has systematically made an effort to oust older employees, as numerous lawsuits have claimed.

change by inviting the „dinobabies‟ (new species) to leave

This morning we saw 4 new comments left in quick succession, so they're likely have come from the same person, who wrote:

When I was ra I got calls, did the technical interview over the phone, knew i aced all their technical questions. Sent the thank you email for their time. Followed up after couple of weeks and heard we canceled the position or they hired someone. They just want to say they interviewed a person in an age group to avoid age discrimination.

i was 58 at the time. They want newbies out of school at a much cheaper rate

58 is "dinobabies" age. "Back when I was given my ra [layoff] notice," the next comment said, "I was told I can look internally for another position. But once your name is on the ra list the odds sl--e to none you would get another position..."

"Before I left," another comment said, "I made sure with my end users I can use them for references."

"I worked with a guy who would just talk talk talk and brown nose the manager," a comment from around the same time said. "I was the lead for one of the big business units on the account was on. They were big screamers and when I became the lead you didn't hear a peep from them. When review time came the talker got a 2+ while me not a brown noser got only a 2..."

But it's not about performance; it is about one's "cost" to IBM and perceived loyalty to Arvind's kitchen, which cooks the books.

Arvind can be a CEO at any age he wants; he's of the "protected" group because he is an executive. They don't get PIPs, they only have get bonuses (from themselves).
