Months After Lobbying for Microsoft Mr. Müller Quits, Ends His Blog Entirely
Did he get a job offer*? Like Peter Galli? Well, maybe, maybe not, maybe it's just "complicated". (family maze etc.).. and we might never know.
TODAY I wrote 20 articles or short posts here in Techrights, partly owing to the new software we have installed here. It's only 11AM, so it's likely I'll break the all-time record of 29 in one day (this happened some time in 2009 or 2010). Over at Tux Machines I already did about 5 so far today (originals, not relayed), so only 3 months after breaking the posts/month record we can set a new yardstick for posts/day, not that quantity matters as much as quality and depth/details/originality.
Several days ago Florian Müller, an opportunistic Microsoft shill who had battled for Microsoft to take over Activision (to the point of publicly shaming regulators), called it quits and abruptly ended his blog after several months of almost-daily activity. He tried becoming a developer again (some iPhone "app"), but it didn't work out. So what next? Keep guessing... he's way too young to retire.
I don't wish to curse him on the way out (nothing noble about that), but I am glad he threw in the towel. No decent human being would wish to help Microsoft, not even on the payroll (decent people don't try to get on the payroll of Microsoft either). Müller admitted that Microsoft had paid him. Now he is "the weakest link, goodbye!" (Pop Culture reference, people outside the UK might not get it) █
