Microsoft Logic: We Fired More Workers Than Any Other Tech Company in 2024 So We're Worth More Than Any Other Company in 2024
"Microsoft, the world’s most valuable company, declared a profit of $4.5 billion in 1998; when the cost of options awarded that year, plus the change in the value of outstanding options, is deducted, the firm made a loss of $18 billion, according to Smithers."
Tonight's "results" will be fraudulent, as usual.
Microsoft is doing so well that it cannot keep EXISTING staff. As we noted this morning, "Microsoft is Microsoft's Biggest Client, Buying Its Own Shares and Buying Compute Time From Itself". That's like asking your dad to buy 1% of your company for $10,000,000, then declaring and boasting that your company is "worth" a billion bucks.
They are pumping up the expectations, an associate has remarked. As mentioned for years, they probably make more from buying and selling their own stock than from anything else aside from government bailouts. (From multiple governments)
Now we have very shallow press coverage like this:
With Johanna Faries, Microsoft is attempting to distract from the mass layoffs (after it was the leading/top story). It's presumably sexist and racist to ask about the layoffs and/or why an allegedly thriving company cannot retain its own staff. █
