The Media Must Speak About LLMs Like It Speaks About Fakecoins Burning the Planet (for No Actual Value)
THE total energy consumption (usage, not just formation) of LLMs like Microsoft's is no better than the average fakecoin's. The mainstream media needs to condemn those LLMs like it does those fakecoins. Both are harmful to the planet and to society (human civilisation, which depends on this planet).
Of course LLMs do a lot more damage than energy waste and global heating. █
