The best thing about Linux is that Linux doesn't need to be the number one desktop operating system in the world. Linux doesn't care about popularity contests.When you take profit out of the equation, all you are left with is a drive for excellence.
The goal of Linux is not to be foam-finger number one. The goal of Linux is simply to be "the operating system" that no one has to think about because it just works.
