FUD Alert: 2024 is Not 2011 and Ebury is Not "Linux"
We wrote about this last night [1, 2] and now we see Microsoft's media operatives playing a big role. The mainstream media and even LWN participate in what seems to be "old news" dressed up as "news". And yes, LWN too now contributes to this FUD. Distraction from next week's grilling of Microsoft?
ESET is close to Microsoft. It feels like - along with Microsofters - it is trying to deflect to 'LINUX' holes (not!), using solemn tales from 13 years ago.
So be sceptical.
An associate found this old page at cert-bund.de
. "However the German link now goes to a dead page," he said, "checking IA," it is empty. "There's a lot of hype but no info about actual vector of the Trojan."
We've seen Microsofers (actual Microsoft employees) putting in a lot of effort to shift the heat to Linux (even 'LINUX' where it's not the culprit at all!) every time there was a very major Microsoft security blunder, such as complete breach. █
