Firefox Has Fallen to 2% in New Zealand
At around 2%, at least in the US (2% or below this threshold), there's no longer an obligation to test sites for any Gecko-based browser
THE once-open Web is at risk of becoming Chrome (or Chromium-based) only, i.e. OSPS (proprietary in 'Open' clothing).
Having just mentioned GNU/Linux adoption in New Zealand, we also checked patterns of browser usage. As shown below, Chrome is growing, whereas Firefox is down to 2.79%. It might be too late for new leadership to save the main alternative to a Chromium-based monoculture, which is proprietary spyware or OSPS [1, 2].
We hope Gemini Protocol can grow at the Web's expense. █
