Honest Journalism About the European Patent Office Ceased to Exist After SLAPPs and Bribes to the Media
Many publishers that write about the EPO are funded by the EPO. They aren't even hiding it too well. They probably won't deny that (if pressed or gently asked). See, a lot of the press received SLAPPs from the EPO - I was among them - and the sloppy lawyers even forgot to change the name (to mine) in the first letter that I received.
The EPO is basically a Mafia. It's in Bavaria, not some place like Sicily, but the tactics are overlapping and eerily similar to the Mafia's. They use protection money and bribes as bargaining chips and they attack the messenger as recently as this month (they alluded to me; Vice President Rowan could only possibly refer to me as I was the only one to put the said letters in the public domain).
When the EPO "tweets" (or posts to X.com or Microsoft's LinkedIn) some lies about itself some parrots in slopfarms and so-called 'news' sites will parrot those lies. In IP Kat, they'll never cover EPO scandals anymore. Nothing! Even when large companies complain about quality of patents falling IP Kat will publish nothing except UPC promotion (even if it's illegal) and AstraZeneca will give some "analysis" of the EPO's kangaroo court with its decisions, typically affirming the position of the very corrupt President.
