Less Technology, More Life
Offline time has increased lately (about half the day we're disconnected and do better things).
It's refreshing and it gives plenty of topic ideas (unique things to cover); meanwhile GNU/Linux grows "all on its own". It has never been this good for "Linux", set aside slop-related perils and vendor lock-in (e.g. systemd).
Vacation ends in two weeks, so we'll likely continue to produce fewer stories than last month. Funnily enough, site traffic is the same; writing more seems to have no noticeable impact on 'visitorship', nor does it impact mood (a certain sense of perceived productivity).
There are people who assume being online for more "likes" in social control media will make them happier, satisfied, contented and so on; it's just addiction, it's like assuming that consumption of more alcohol will lead to bliss rather than severe health problems and dependency.
Technology is being associated (sometimes rightly) with physical and mental problems. The solution is typically to turn off or log off more (and for longer time periods). The latter might turn out to be pleasurable, no withdrawal symptoms or FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out). The Cyber Show has many good articles about that. █
