It's Official, Mass Layoffs at IBM Again (2026)
This week in brusselstimes.com:

The "Renault procedure for collective redundancies".

"IBM said they want an extra 1 billion of additional FCF for 2026... it won't happen without cutting more costs."

In recent hours, the PIPs (and similar) unravel:

The 'chips' in Wall Street don't tell the true story. Many people quit IBM, and IBM moreover wants them to quit.
IBM isn't trying to grow, it's trying to game the market.
IBM moreover lays off some of its best employees. It is about "cost-cutting" (at the expense of the company's future). There are already mass layoffs at IBM this year. January isn't even over yet.
"This is all about IBM not wanting to pay their employees bonuses," somebody wrote some hours ago, "force attrition or put people on PIP. All leads to resource action. Nothing to do with performance. I guess IBM likes to litigate."
In a matter of days we'll just see how much IBM's debt has grown. Is it at 80 billion dollars yet? Maybe more? █
