On Wednesday of this week I wiped openSUSE off my machine and decided to try Mandriva 2008 next.
Interestingly enough, some people who leave SUSE cite our Web site as the reason for doing so. In this case, no real reason is given for the change, but one must remember that SUSE as a free platform is no more.
"And you’ll see, as well, an economic commitment from Novell to Microsoft that involves a running royalty, a percentage of revenue on open source software shipped under the agreement"

No, I did read the article and I did know that it was a case of distro hopping. I even said so in the post. The other previous stories that I talk about are real and they are a case of leaving SUSE because it's associated with Novell.

That's misleading - you're saying that the guy is "leaving SUSE" when in reality he is trying an entire list of distros. He's not making a political statement, he's trying out various distributions of Linux.
An analogy is a test driving cars - just because at first you test drove a Ford, then next you test drove a Volkswagen doesn't mean you hated the Ford... it just means you're trying all the options on a level playing field.
