Freenode is Now Dead. But is the EPO Too 'Dead Man Walking'? When Rogues Are Left in Charge...

Summary: A video regarding part 5 of the series about the EPO's Administrative Council and our transition to just one IRC server (consolidation due to Freenode being compromised and taken over by a destructive megalomaniac)

THIS morning we published a couple of articles about the EPO and we also moaned about the final blow to Freenode, which will probably have no more than 2,000 users left within a day or two (3 months ago it had almost 100,000 simultaneous/online users). Put another way, The 'new' Freenode will have in it just as many users as some old channels (not networks) in Freenode used to have! People like these should never have been left in charge.

"Short of emergency intervention by the EU, which seems unlikely, the EPO is doomed."At the moment the EPO is just a patent-granting machine, uncaring about compliance with the EPC or the general quality of newly-issued European Patents. Blame that on Benoît Battistelli and António Campinos along with the gangsters they brought in to accompany them, rigging the courts to impose 'ViCo' on everybody... and to compel judges to allow European software patents. The EPO's Administrative Council is equally rigged, stacked by corrupt representatives (the subject of our ongoing exposé). To say that it is a recipe for disaster is an understatement because it is already a disaster. It's also why the EPO can get away with non-compliance for this long (not complying with court orders).

Breton-Battistelli relationshipThe video above discusses the alarming situation at Freenode (it is almost completely dead already, including its name, which got hijacked to funnel people to another network). It then talks about what we published before the latest bulletin was generated, noting that a bunch of separatists and guerillas are now voting on EPO proposals; their voting weight is on par with that of France, Germany, and the UK. It makes no sense at all. Short of emergency intervention by the EU, which seems unlikely, the EPO is doomed. Much like Freenode was doomed the moment it was put in rogue hands; it was only a matter of time.
