THE very large nation of France, one of the most economically potent countries in Europe, is rejecting what was supposed to be rejected right from the get-go. It's a big blow for surveillance ambitions of the United States and one can hope France will prioritise Free software, not just something "domestic" (it can be both). Dr. Andy Farnell wrote about this weeks ago. He had witnessed the same problem (firsthand experience) in the UK.
