The Free Software Foundation (FSF) Added 88 New Members in 2 Weeks

Associate members give us the strength to amplify the free software message -- each new member exponentially increases our reach and our ability to make change.

About 2 weeks ago [1, 2] the FSF formally kicked off an outreach campaign/programme seeking to add 200 new members by July 19^th (they typically extend this soft 'cutoff' date when it is reached).

They're almost halfway there now. Some hours ago they were at 86 (i.e. 114 more members needed to meet the ambitious target) and now, with 11 days left, they are 112 short, so at a pace of 10 new members per day they can get there.

Not bad! My wife and I both donated to the FSF in the past. If everyone gave a little, that would cover the salary of at least one employee there. Without money they would lose staff. █
