The Gates Press (GatesGate) -- Part II: When Media That You Bribe Calls All Your Critics 'Conspiracy Theorists' (to Keep Them Silenced, Marginalised)

Pieces that expose Gates and/or the Gates Foundation are being spiked and we know how

Railing

Summary: The assault on the media by Bill Gates is a subject not often explored by the media (maybe because a lot of it is already bribed by him); but we're beginning to gather new and important evidence that explains how critics are muzzled (even fired) and critical pieces spiked, never to see the light of day anywhere

THE issue covered here thus far seems to be part of a broad(er) pattern, as we've noted in part one. Mr. Gates not only bribes publishers (through a fake 'charity', the Gates Foundation) to write puff pieces about him (hagiographies); he goes further by corrupting the media to silence if not fire his critics. In other words, he's a self-centered thug, a Napoleonic bully who does not respect freedom of the press, let alone any of those stern ethical standards that are needed in a democratic society. Heck, he hardly even obeys the law. No wonder many people out there call for his arrest these days... (he was arrested before)

The Verge published a number of pieces about how "Conspiracy Theorists" were behind the latest claims about Gates. Chinese state media did the same, as did the Gates-funded (bribed) NPR...

“I can dig out what notes I do have. I'm afraid it's not much — we used Google Drive for all our docs, and my access to the account was terminated before I was terminated.”
--The Verge journalist (fired for exposing Gates)
We took note of -- but did not link to -- those examples of sheer demonisation -- collective framing/generalisation -- of critics. NPR 'journalists' who did this even blocked (in Twitter) people who merely pointed out that NPR had been paid by Gates and that therefore there's something to be said about likely bias. Those payments were done again as recently as 2018. NPR is routinely paid by Gates.

I wrote about this in Techrights last month. People talked about it in Twitter. But we suppose that NPR's reach is broad enough that their spin received far more readership/visibility than those pointing out Gates' corrosive payments to media, which obviously come with strings (in the past we showed a link to Gates investment like GMO/Monsanto). Media becomes like just another marketing/spin outlet... even media that calls itself "national" and "public" or "listener-supported..."

Mr. Gates is no ordinary oligarch; the Kochs and Rockefellers don't come close to this. Look what he has done to the media we're supposed to trust; so he can recklessly attack charities, for profit, as well as bribe officials, infiltrate organisations (for profit) and anyone who points this out is a "Conspiracy Theorist"...

We did not miss the fact that he became "guest editor" of The Verge some time after The Verge had fired the person who prepared an article about Gates attacking a charity; nor did we neglect to raise important questions about what had happened to the piece (I alluded to this several times since then...) because it was never published.

The Verge is nowadays helping Gates frame all his critics as conspiracy nuts.

How convenient.

“The last thing Mr. Gates wants the public to know is that his "foundation" shamelessly attacks education in Africa and scuttles charities that actually help Africans.”A few hours ago Ryan told us in IRC: "I'm using Bing. They have a support charity mode now."

He probably meant that jokingly. But from the company that attacks charities we now have a "support charity mode"... once again criminals are disguising themselves as charitable entities. It is not a novel marketing ploy.

At the moment we're hoping to piece together what's left of the spiked story. It's all factual, but those facts are barely known to anyone. The last thing Mr. Gates wants the public to know is that his "foundation" shamelessly attacks education in Africa and scuttles charities that actually help Africans.

It's difficult to reconstruct what was being worked on. As the journalist explained to me the other day, "I can dig out what notes I do have. I'm afraid it's not much — we used Google Drive for all our docs, and my access to the account was terminated before I was terminated. The story I'm working on at the moment is a look at Gates's role in the covid-19 response, which I'll use as a way to get into the larger story of Gates Foundation as a scam."

"Gates' gimmick of becoming a philanthropist repeats the Rockefeller scam almost one to one a century later."
