EPO run based on connections (nepotism), not merit
Summary: The kakistocracy in charge of today's EPO putting people in charge of disciplines they do not understand (and have no experience in!) is another sign of an institution gone profoundly rogue/wrong; FrenchmenBenoît Battistelli and António Campinos have put a fellow Frenchman, Razik Menidjel, in charge of areas he has never worked it, including European software patents
Free software "absolutism" is not a radical stance, more so if the only "radical" belief the user possesses is that he or she must be in control of his or her software, and by extension his or her computer
