In Switzerland, Where Microsoft Has Remained Relatively Prevalent, People Aren't Buying Microsoft (the OEMs License Windows, It's Not a 'Consumer Choice')
THE SWISS have been more reluctant than most to dump Microsoft, but when it comes to devices, almost nobody bothers with Microsoft. See below for "Mobile, Tablet & Console Vendor Market Share Switzerland: Mar 2009 - Mar 2024" (data here), as per statCounter's data:
Microsoft isn't even in the 1% mark. More like 0. Ignoree the media spam about "Surface"; a lot of the "Surface" staff got laid off last year, but Microsoft needs to pretend to still have some viable hardware products (even if you cannot quite buy them anywhere!). We'd rather not link to all that spam at all... (we saw and carefully assessed it; that should be sufficient)
We spoke a lot about Switzerland today, so we're rather disappointed to see that GNU/Linux adoption there is stagnant, at least based on the data from statCounter. █
