A Week Ahead and the Month Ahead
THE time here is 5:30AM and I've already had two kettles of coffee (since waking up at around midnight).
This week we plan to publish a number of lengthy videos, but we're in no hurry to make them. One requires that we wait until the media hysteria over xz is over completely (we're almost there now), another requires that Trainline issues the refund promised to us a week ago by a station manager, and finally there's a need to better understand if another "Molly" can become a Debian Project Leader (seems like a worrying pattern).
Aside from that, this coming week we'll republish a number of articles about sexual exploitation of women under the auspices of Google "diversity" programs. There's nothing "right-wing" about dealing with these issues; trying to frame them as politics of bigotry is cheapening or trivialising the underlying issues.
We expect that controversy will ensue, but remember we're merely reproducing pages that have been online for years and are permissible (in compliance with local laws). Where possible, we may redact addresses of people, but otherwise the contents will remain 100% unaltered, including headlines. Next month we expect to cover abuse directed at the webhost by people who clearly don't care about the law [1, 2] and just try to manipulate gullible people to engage in harassment.
On a more positive note/tone, we're happy that the temperatures have risen. Flowers have begun growing and the days are a lot longer. Our IRC network is almost abuse-free, so that's one thing fewer to worry about. █
