Rumour: Jim Whitehurst Was Primed to Become IBM's CEO Before Things Went South (and So Did He)
Jim Whitehurst (or Jim Allowhurst as we sometimes call him, as they are very meticulous about racial sensibilities and focus on words, not actions) is no longer in IBM. Years ago we read that he had left IBM because they would not give him the coveted CEO title and instead made him 'only' a president. We never got any concrete confirmation of this, but press reports repeated that tidbit, which might be nothing more than speculation. We too heard some rumours and speculations, e.g. that the 2018 siege against Linus Torvalds at the Linux Foundation was partly led by IBM, looking to lower the asking price of Red Hat (remember Red Hat also considered Microsoft as a buyer! Not a joke! Says a lot about Red Hat and Mr. Allowhurst, our fake and spineless flag bearer).
Last updated yesterday (regarding Arvind Krishna's age) was this interesting old thread that contained a mention of Jim Whitehurst: (who left IBM to become a Microsoft booster [1, 2, 3, 4])
Well, Jim Whitehurst was never truly into "Linux" (which he didn't even use). Like the Red Hat logo, he hid beneath his wide hat and pretended to be genuine, even when he wasn't. Jim Whitehurst is all about money, not freedom. Compare to the founder's ideology (Bob Young). █
