Asking Ourselves What Topics to Strategically Focus on
TODAY we take things up a notch. While "Terms of Service (TOS) Under Scrutiny" is still work in progress (part 13 was yesterday) we want to gradually return to covering EPO corruption because EPO insiders caution that many software patents get granted in Europe under the guise of "AI". We will also habitually cover GitHub scandals (we have insider information) and try to keep abreast of the growth of GNU/Linux.
And here's the snag, if that's the right term at all.
A lot of the tech media - if not "mainstream" media too - is already covering the growth of GNU/Linux. We saw literally dozens of articles last night about how GNU/Linux had gained share. That makes it a lot less necessary for us to point out the same.
Hence, taking it all into account, this month we'll probably spend a little less time looking at (and showing) statCounter staff. There are many other topics we'd rather cover and we are also eager to make videos (but lack the time for it).
We've begun planning the next set of topics to tackle. This week there's some big news about the Internet Archive for instance. That's the Web's most important site and it's in danger. █
