Rumour of IBM 'Bloodbath' in Clown Computing
WITH existing rumours of layoffs just over a week from now (start of February), now comes the unverified claim above, speaking of "needs [for] growth and [Performance Improvement Plans] to be able to let people go." (Performance Improvement Plans mean one step ahead or before layoffs).
There's one comment seconding this: "PIP in cloud here. Intentionally vague justification. When's the RA?"
Buzzword divisions have not kept up with the latest buzzword, "genAI".
Perhaps we'll soon find out if that's just a false rumour (evil tongues) or a real word coming from the real grapevine at IBM. Unlike all of GAFAM - without any exceptions - IBM did not contribute anything to the inauguration of Cheeto Mussolini with his babysitter/boss MElon. Did it learn from Watson's mistakes (the father of IBM had saluted Adolf Hitler himself)? █
