The Problem of Microsoft Crimes
Earlier this year: Writing About Crime is Not a Crime
Yesterday my wife - besieged by Microsofters - asked me about this post from the LibreOffice crew being accused of being anti-Microsoft. Two days ago we published: Why It's Ludicrous to Call Us "Microsoft Haters" (what next, "anti-Epstein" as a slur against people who oppose what Bill Epsteingate does with young Russians?)
An associate has since then said that Italo "rightfully complains about stenographers but not by name. Microsoft has for *decades* consistently spun anything promoting interoperability as hostile and any advancement in that area as 'schadenfreude' rather than allowing for the technological advancement of society instead."
Worse yet, Microsoft promotes back doors in everything and actively attacks people who oppose back doors.
In the case of OOXML, Microsoft engaged in a lot of crime. Calling Microsoft out on it isn't the problem; the real problem is the crime. Opposing crime isn't "hatred". █
