THE GRAPH above is from a few minutes ago and it shows Novell's stock price peaking when Novell seemed close to signing a deal and selling the company away (likely in parts). Novell is still looking at it, but in the mean time major customers are lost (the NHS for example [1, 2], with additional new coverage about it this week [1, 2]) and Novell's value is likely to slide over time. It's a declining business after all and expectation of a Novell sale depresses sales.
A while back (in the middle of September) we saw Novell jumping 6% because of expectation of a sale. Here is a video from that time:
This week in the news, Novell just gradually declined [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11] and the longer it waits, the less it will be worth. ⬆
