THE infiltration of the EPO goes a long way back. In 2015 Benoît Battistelli proudly stated that the Unified Patent Court (UPC) would imminently commence and now, 7 years later, they once again tell us "next year" while staging "fake it till you make it" stunts.

If the lobbyists and the special interests keep pushing for abstract patents (see wiki on
software patents in Europe) while stacking panels that discuss EPO policies, what is an EPO insider and outsider meant to deduce about the EPO? Does it work for science or for litigation houses that oppress scientists?
