The EPO's 'Inventor Award' Scam: Part III

Andane Remmal

Summary: An addendum to the "inventor of the year" affair, namely the case of Remmal

IN parts 1 and 2 (recall the first part and second part) we wrote about Battistelli and former colonies of France. EPO management led by Battistelli has long used these for political leverage and publicity stunts. "Novelty, inventive step etc," as a reader of ours put it, serve to to show that there may be a political angle to last year's award (shown above). "I incidentally came across a publication for proponents of the aromatherapy," told us this reader, pointing to "this article is in German (EPO official language except for tumor Battistelli and his metastasis, Requenna, Bergot, Kraft...)

“...a schoolgirl Ute Runkel had already systematically explored these synergies a long time ago in 2002...”
      --Anonymous
"Note that this article is somewhat critical toward the "invention" of Remmal, that is qualified with "So neu ist seine Arbeit für Insider zwar nicht" (his work is not that new for insiders) and if you read further "Ganz neu ist das Thema – wie erwähnt – nicht, die damals 17-jährige Schülerin Ute Runkel hatte 2002 diese Synergie bereits vor vielen Jahren systematisch erforscht" (as said the subject is not completely new, a schoolgirl Ute Runkel had already systematically explored these synergies a long time ago in 2002).

"There is even a link to download a copy of the work by Ms. Runkel." [ZIP]

“This EPO inventor of the year award is a sham: it shows that the decline in quality started before Battistelli took it over (imagine now!), it is an inadmissible publicity for some "elected" applicants and propels fraudsters to the summit of glory.”
      --Anonymous
"Well, it seems that Remmal is just another fraud.

"This EPO inventor of the year award is a sham: it shows that the decline in quality started before Battistelli took it over (imagine now!), it is an inadmissible publicity for some "elected" applicants and propels fraudsters to the summit of glory. A real shame."
