Sunrise for the Gemini front end
THE other day we dealt with IRC (task mostly done by now), sorted out Planet Gemini (last night) and today we've sorted out Gemini-Git integration. For those who don't know, we make Git publicly available (the code in it, changes etc.) over gemini:// and when we changed servers and operating systems we tidied things up. The timing seemed right and it was a window of opportunity.
The migration and upgrades are still ongoing, but the TODO list is a lot shorter already. Some code associated with the migration and upgrades is itself in Git (that can help other sites migrate to static) and we'll have more to say and do in a month or so when loose ends get tightened. We still need to decide on bulletins and IPFS, especially because the workflow is so much different now. This had to be done sooner or later. █
