Tonight's Slopwatch deals with some weekend (or Friday) examples, starting with the slopfarm LinuxSecurity:
Tar is not part of Linux, but slop doesn't get that.
We're also nowadays dealing with the burst of slop from UbuntuPIT. There were about half a dozen like this one on the same day:
So he admits it's slop, but he keeps doing it. For a few days he stopped; then he resumed.
In Google News, which is supposed to be able to curate for quality and correctly identify slopfarms, there's this pair of fake articles today:
Google News has also just promoted this slopfarm:
People search Google News for "linux" and then get stories with fake authors, fake text, and fake images.
