THE PAST ~10 years, owing primarily to EPO leaks, we covered patent issues quite a lot, especially between 2014 and 2018 (the year Benoît Battistelli left). The EPO corruption hasn't ended, it's just that fewer people (or sites) still talk about it. And it's truly a shame that media apathy/passivity gave rise to a completely illegal and unconstitutional kangaroo court for patents in the EU. People were too occupied with themselves ("busy making money"), so they let democracy die and the Rule of Law end.
Seeing that on the patent front there's not much journalism (hence, "inputs") left, we sort of default back to the 2006 focus of software patents and Software Freedom. Sadly, as we've said here for many years already (nearly a decade), almost no press coverage still exists on the subject of software patents. Little to none. Weeks can pass by without the subject being brought up anywhere. At all!
Therefore, expect more focus on technical subjects and morality associated with technology. It is a subject that has long fascinated us and occupied our time.
Focus shifts have occasionally been discussed here over the years. It is imperative because the world changes around us. █
