Microsoft as a Distant Third in Hong Kong
While we bring up the fall of Bing we might as well bring up Hong Kong (HK) because Lu Qi, the former head of Bing, was born in Shanghai, China, and he joined Baidu in 2017 (he was a key person in renaming of Microsoft's search, having worked there for nearly a decade after IBM and Yahoo!).
For people in Hong Kong, unlike China, Yahoo! is still favoured over "Bing":
One must remember that in Hong Kong, unlike in "proper" China, Google isn't blocked (yet). That's why about 90% of residents or tourists in Hong Kong use Google. Same in Taiwan. █
