Writing About Corruption
Writing about corruption is never easy. It makes one a "target". It then makes one's family, employer etc. also a "target".
Well, there are dangers for sure, but writing about corruption is nevertheless crucial.
Do you fancy back doors in everything? In case there might be whistleblowers who reveal Microsoft corruption? And go as far as leaking hard evidence thereof?
The tacit goal of the population - assuming it wishes to advance as a civilisation (not a monarchy of oligarchs, akin to feudalism with monopolies) - should be to collectively inform this population about those at the top while preventing those at the top from knowing "too much" about the population. And contrariwise, those at the top want the general population to know nothing about them; they, in turn, create agencies like the NSA to spy on whole populations in many countries, including their own. It's all about exercising power over other people. It's about keeping other people down.
Throughout history populations advanced their knowledge and understanding of their surroundings owing to some form of media (not social control media; it's totally controlled and manipulated by those at the top, i.e. the likes of MElon) because any hub to which one can 'whisper' can disseminate information "at scale" while exercising various rights to protect its sources.
So for better knowledge and understanding every population should recognise the importance of free media (or press) and the risk of distraction by social control media.
There are cautionary tales; moments ago we mentioned how the national broadcaster, BBC, is already self-censoring coverage about a convicted felon - an actual mobster and all-round criminal - from another continent. Quoting The New York Times: "Rutger Bregman said his comment that [Hell Toupée] Trump was the “most openly corrupt president in American history” was removed before his lecture was broadcast on Tuesday."
So this is what England and the US have stooped down to? Cannot say “most openly corrupt president in American history” about the most openly corrupt president in American history? Does Europe "take the knee" to Putin and his friends now?
Should we wait until Hell Toupée becomes fully assimilated to Putin, then plants drugs on journalists in order to raid their homes? Or for journalists to fall from windows?
The more "tolerance" or "patience" we have for criminality, the worse it'll get. It'll advance, either fast or slowly, but gradually. █
