On top of this, Vista wasn't fully baked when it was released. The huge number of articles that suggested waiting for the first service pack is a testament to that.
In fairness, the same can be said of Apple. Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5) too, was far from fully baked when it was released. In this regard at least, Linux shines. There is no marketing department or sales department at Linux headquarters pushing the operating system out the door before the programmers say it's ready. In fact, there are no Linux headquarters at all.
Windows Vista has been out for almost two years now but it still suffers from stability and compatibility issues, let alone an insatiable desire for beefier hardware. You don't have to live with it; here are five reasons why Linux makes a better choice for your computer.
Yoon Kit wrote about being forced to pay the Microsoft tax when buying computers from computer manufacturers (eg Dell). I submitted a complaint to the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Affairs and received an official acknowledgment from the ministry that the Penang branch office will investigate the complaint.
I strongly urge everybody who uses non-Microsoft operating systems on their computers bought from Dell or any other manufacturers to write in through the web interface and make an official complaint. Make your voices heard so that we can stop being forced to pay for software we don't use!

I read in another post that when you purchase a blank cd in the US you pay additional hidden (pirate tax) charges to the music industry. That is, you're already labeled, "Pirate" even if you do not record any copyrighted music on the blank cd.
So why is it legal for the RIAA to double dip by going after file sharers, also knowing that the artists do not even see any of the moneys awarded by the courts
BTW; The price of a blank cd or dvd are basically the same.

To "protect" the fascist "content industry" everyone is treated as a criminal and force to pay a tax to them.
But the problem is not groups like RIAA. The problem are musicians (and others artists) themselves. They let this fascists speak for them, treat their fans and customers like that. You associate with the devil, you pay.
Don't buy anything from them. Write to the artists explaining why.
