Summary: Personal thoughts about the ongoing series regarding the EPO's relationship with Belarus

LAST night we had published Part I in the long new series before the video was recorded. Further to what's in the text I've recorded a 40-minute video about what I think about the matter, why it matters, and what's coming next. Some time before midnight (later today) we'll publish Part II.

"...the EPO’s practice of allowing software patents is being shattered already!"The war has gone on for 2 months already and nobody in the media points out the hypocrisy of the EPO's dictator or the glaring contradictions, legal problems aside. Instead, it's all puff puff pieces (relaying propaganda from EPO management) and one needs to see the comments -- where to exist (rare!) -- to get some reality checks, e.g. "The only quality criterion is apparently timeliness. I could not find any statistic on opposed patents and the result of the opposition. Is there any reason for this absence?" Another one says: "More work coming in, yet the amount of examiner posts is continuously decreased….. So much for allocating an increasing amount of resources for “quality”…. This just means more limit dates to pressure the employees more….. Sorry, I’m seeing myself out."

Speaking of low-quality EPO-granted patents or European Patents, the EPO's practice of allowing software patents is being shattered already! Today we'll focus on more examples like these, both in Daily Links and in short articles/videos. The state of the media is awful when it comes to patents.
