Progress on Techrights Site Search
This week we are very busy as we're improving, testing and auditing Techrights' Site Search, which is internal for now, and we expect (tentatively) to launch that about a week from now despite it being a busy week.
Given the "current version of the search script," (Perl and CGI, quoting the developer), and given the current state of things, we can probably meet our self-imposed soft deadline. "The SQL was adjusted a little today and the CSS [too]," an associate has noted, "but the working part of the script is the same as before. That's the part which could use review."
So the next few days will have us busy not just preparing lots of articles (see "Techrights to Publish More EPO Leaks Next Week") but also examining code and stress-testing the search facility. When ready, it'll be considered alpha or beta, but at least everybody will be able to use it.
Fun times. Lots planned ahead. █
