THE other night Phoronix published an article entitled "Intel Haswell GT1 Graphics Have Been Busted The Past Half-Year On Linux" and it struck a nerve because of our series about Intel's not-so-love for Linux (see our introduction, interlude, Part I, Part II, Part III, Part IV, Part V, Part VI, Part VII, and Part VIII).
"Why is it that technology is being put at the hands of people who understand it least?"Today's video clip needed no redaction (for those particular parts) at least and it focuses on two aspects; one is the vapourware (or vaporware as they spell it) at Intel and the other is conflict of interest.
It certainly seems like Intel lacks "Integrity" (it's the actual title of a portion). Intentionally it is screwing its very own GNU/Linux developers, who are Intelligent and International. Similarly, we've been seeing the EPO screwing its very own examiners, whom Benoît Battistelli and António Campinos view as mere 'slaves' or foes. Why is it that technology is being put at the hands of people who understand it least? Or people who lack honesty and are at best imposters? Who benefits from this race to the bottom of meritocracy? Maybe brands and cults, not technical excellence or societal advancement. ⬆
