The false narrative of "Hey Hi layoffs" needs to stop. Seriously, we need to reject it and call out the media for its BS, which it is sometimes sponsored (paid directly) to relay to us in order to keep the "hey hi" buzz or hype alive (FOMO).
"Hey Hi" or "hey hi" (slop basically) isn't replacing workers, it's just a go-to excuse for companies that rot and sink deep into debt - debt they cannot pay back. They could really use some creative storytelling to spin their failure as "modernisation" (or make allusions to "revolution", "arms race", "superintelligence" and bots framed as "agents"). It helps managers who fail at their job evade accountability for failure. █
