Welcome to Boycott Novell
The way to communicate with a corporation is economically. It is unacceptable behavior on Novell’s part to legitimize and participate in MS FUD campaign, and to violate the very license that allows them to distribute the community’s work in the first place. I say let the big MS lump payment be their severance from the community.
And with these words, www.boycottnovell.com is born.

“TheTruth” doesn’t seem to understand that we’ve read these already. I think everyone has a reasonably basic idea of what it all means. However, I think the legal eagles will be the ones who will truly have a far better idea of what’s going on once they’ve pored through all the documents involved.
Until I can see any evidence to the contrary (which I do not see), I still think that any deal with Microsoft is a deal with the devil.

Looks like a completely disproportionate and ungrateful response to me.
Novell *did not* say that linux “infringes” MS patents. They specifically deny saying that in the page linked by TheTruth.
Even if the Novell-MS agreement does get perceived by a few uninformed observers as a concession that there are patent issues with linux, I don’t thinkg it matters that much. Keeping Novell alive, and Mono funded, is way, way more important than the possible misperceptions you seem to worry about.
Novell pays some of free software’s bills. They deserve our appreciation and gratitude, rather than a boycott.
